Hi, I’m Stephanie and my pronouns are she/her!
I’m currently in the final semester of a Master of Social Work degree at the University of British Columbia. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McGill University. Since 2020, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals’ mental wellbeing across a variety of community and institutional settings – including with survivors of sexualized and gender-based violence, unhoused populations, adolescents with diverse abilities, and queer and IBPOC youth navigating life transitions.
My first role in the mental health field was as a confidential phone volunteer at my university’s sexual assault centre. That experience showed me the transformative power of holding space for people’s stories and how simply being heard can be a foundation for healing. Since then, I have continued to be drawn to work that affirms people’s experiences and identities.
I’m especially passionate about creating safer, affirming spaces to explore sexuality, relationships, and identity. I bring a sex-positive, person-centred approach to my work, and I aim to meet people where they are. I recognize that everyone is unique, with their own stories, values, and ways of engaging with support and I aim to honour that individuality in the therapeutic relationship.
Stephanie practices under the direct clinical supervision of Camila Espana.
Stephanie is accepting clients for virtual and in-person sessions in our office at Spadina and Queen in Toronto.
