• Shimoor Mahajan, Registered Psychotherapist(Qualifying)

You’ve been through experiences that have had lasting impacts, and it may feel like few people truly understand. Maybe when you’ve tried to open up, you weren’t heard or were dismissed. Over time, it might have felt easier to keep it all in, even though the weight can be overwhelming. You may find yourself on edge, disconnected, or unsure how to manage your emotions. Despite your resilience and best efforts to manage, you may feel stuck —caught between wanting to move forward and not knowing how.

You don’t have to carry this alone. I understand how trauma can shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can focus on healing. Together, we can work on restoring your sense of safety, managing difficult emotions, and reconnecting you with the parts of yourself that may have felt lost or forgotten. There is no judgement here. This is a space where you can simply be, with acceptance and care.

Healing is possible. It may not be easy, but with time, you can begin to feel lighter, calmer, and more confident in yourself and your future. You can rediscover joy in the things you once loved, and build meaningful relationships rooted in trust and understanding. The past will always be a part of your story, but it doesn’t have to define your future. You have the strength and resilience to create a life filled with meaning, connection, and peace — and you deserve every bit of it.

Shimoor sees clients virtually and in-person at our downtown office space.
