• Paige Wright, Registered Psychotherapist(Qualifying)

Hi! I’m Paige and my pronouns are she/her!

Often, if you have experienced painful or distressing life events, you can end up feeling “stuck” and powerless. Maybe there are parts of you that feel trapped in the past, unable to move on from painful experiences and the feelings of shame, guilt, grief, or worthlessness that are affecting your relationships with others or with yourself. Perhaps you feel like overwhelming emotions are taking over and it is hard to see a way out. You may even feel stuck in patterns of unhelpful behaviour but feel powerless to change.

In our work, I am here to support, equip, and resource you to move through the “stuckness”. I will provide you with evidence-based tools, and create a safe environment to hold your emotions and experiences. I know difficult experiences can be hard to talk about, and easy to avoid. My aim is to challenge you to face these things at the right time, while respecting your boundaries and agency.

Change and transformation are possible, and I am so honoured to have witnessed it in countless clients who have been where you are now. I am committed to walking with you to rise above your challenges and live a life of meaning and connection.

Paige sees clients virtually and in-person at our office at 130 Spadina Avenue.

    Professional Experience

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Psychology.

My work in the mental health field started in telephone crisis work, where I quickly fell in love with supporting and providing coping resources to individuals in the midst of various traumatic experiences and moments of crisis. Around that time, I was also conducting psychological research with severely depressed and emotionally dysregulated clients, many of whom had experienced significant childhood abuse, neglect, and maltreatment. Through this work, I began to recognize the critical importance of acknowledging and processing traumatic and difficult life experiences as the “root” of many mental health concerns.

Since then, I have had the privilege to support traumatized individuals in a range of settings including Canadian prisons and private practice settings, while deepening my understanding and expanding my skill through trainings and certifications in a range of therapy techniques.

I consider it a true honour to support and develop healing relationships with my clients. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, tailoring what therapy techniques & tools I use based on your unique needs, learning-style, and what “clicks” for you as an individual.

Something will grow from all you are going through and it will be you.
