You might be carrying the weight of trauma that’s left you feeling disconnected from yourself, or emotions that seem to take over no matter how hard you try to stay in control. Perhaps you’re navigating the in‑between of cultures, relationships, or identities, seeking safety and belongingness in more than one world. You’ve held it together all this while and you don’t have to do this alone!

Healing takes courage – and it starts with safety, curiosity, and small steps toward the meaningful changes you’re seeking. The fact that you’re here, reading this, already means you’ve taken one. In our sessions, you’ll find a space where you can be yourself and your story can unfold at your pace without judgement. Together, we will approach your goals evidence‑based practices designed to help your mind and nervous system find balance, while staying true to your lived experience. I aim to create a space that feels safe, warm, and even a little lighthearted – because healing doesn’t have to mean endless tears and tissues (though we have those too, just in case).

Healing may take time, but it’s ABSOLUTELY possible. Over time, you’ll start noticing shifts – in your relationships, your boundaries, your emotions, and perhaps even how you talk to yourself. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s finding the right tools to manage the concerns that have been weighing you down (and maybe a bit of self-compassion along the way). If something here resonates with you, I’d love to join you in your journey!

Anushka sees clients virtually and in-person at our downtown office space. She offers therapy in English and Hindi.

    Professional Experience

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Before moving to Canada, I have practised as a psychologist in India and bring over five years of experience across inpatient, community, and private practice settings. I also hold a post graduate specialization in Mental Health & Addictions, Graduate Diploma of Science in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Psychology.

    Individuals

I support adults (18+) navigating trauma and recovery, including PTSD, complex trauma (CPTSD), and the impact of sexual violence and relational abuse. I also work extensively with clients struggling with behavioral addictions (gaming, gambling, internet, porn, and sex addiction) and substance use, as well as those navigating ADHD, chronic pain, or sexual health challenges. Additionally, I support BIPOC clients managing racial stress, immigrant and acculturation challenges, and life transitions.

    Couples

I’m especially passionate about supporting couples navigating relational identities, cultural shifts, and intimacy. Our work together can include managing conflicts, improving communication, navigating infidelity, or cultural/religious differences and rediscovering intimacy.

My approach is warm, collaborative and authentic: a place where you can unpack what’s been heavy without judgment – and maybe even laugh once in a while.

Who you’ve been deserves understanding, who you become deserves your permission.
