Hi – My name is Kiara and I use she/her pronouns!
Trauma can change the way we experience our bodies, our relationships, and our sense of self. You may find yourself struggling with self-blame or shame, feeling unsafe as you move through the world, or feeling disconnected from your body, your identity, or the people around you. You might feel out of control of your emotions, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or unsure how to move forward. These experiences can show up as PTSD symptoms, dissociation, sexual pain or dysfunction, difficulties with food or body image, or challenges with trust and intimacy.
While opening up about these experiences can feel overwhelming, change is possible. You don’t have to do this alone.
I am an active and directive therapist, and I do not shy away from difficult or uncomfortable conversations when they are in service of your healing. Together, we work at your pace, building skills for stability, regulation, and grounding—while also being willing to engage directly with the parts of your story, patterns, and responses that are keeping you stuck.
My role is to offer unwavering support without judgment, while also providing structure, guidance, and clear feedback. I believe healing involves not only understanding what happened, but also reconnecting with your body, your values, and your sense of agency. Through this work, my goal is to help you move toward a life that feels more present, embodied, and self-directed.
Change isn’t easy, and there may be moments when you feel discouraged or want to give up. With a deep commitment to your wellbeing, we will continue to explore what support you need to heal and move forward in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.
I am currently accepting clients for in-person appointments at 130 Spadina in Toronto.
