• Emilia Pacholec, Registered Psychotherapist

Hi! I’m Emilia and my pronouns are she/her.

I’m a registered psychotherapist and the founder and clinical director of New Moon Psychotherapy.

I earned a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Western University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Psychology from York University. Recently, I completed the Intensive Sex Therapy Program at Guelph University.

I began my career working with youth and adults experiencing Borderline Personality Disorder as well as justice-involved and high-risk youth. Since, I have focused my work primarily on post-traumatic stress and related difficulties.

I specialize in supporting survivors of sexual and criminal violence such as childhood sexual abuse, rape, grooming, robbery, human trafficking, kidnapping, and assault. A special interest is guiding couples in which one or more partners are affected by trauma, find healing in their relationship.

I use evidence-based approaches. These are therapies that have been heavily researched and can be effectively used to help you heal.

You might believe that life can’t get better or that you’re not capable of growth. My goal is to empower you to see your strengths, to overcome your difficulties, and to transform your life.

Trauma is not a life sentence. You will trust, laugh, and love again.
