Cassandra Cornacchia, Registered Social Worker

Hello – I’m Cassandra and my pronouns are She/Her.
Being human is an extraordinary and precious challenge, that everyone deserves support with. My approach to therapy is to meet you exactly where you are at, with presence, compassion and curiosity. I believe in co-creating an authentic, caring and kind space where you can be with, feel, and express the complexity and truth of who you are.
While working with me you will have the opportunity to practice mindfulness, self-compassion and somatic embodiment. These skills can greatly enhance the quality of your relationship to yourself, to others, and to your life as a whole. I aim to support you in exercising your capacity to accurately attune to your own internal world with awareness, empathy and agency, so that together, we can fortify your well-being and wholeness.
I have been a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies for the past 5 years, I lead facilitated peer-support groups with Wellness Together Canada, and have experience providing services in a large variety of healthcare settings including mental health clinics, community health centres, hospitals, colleges and universities.
My approach is rooted within Anti-Oppressive, Anti-Racist, Decolonizing, and Trauma-Sensitive theories and practices. People of all sexual and gender identities, racial identities, ethnicities, cultures, religions, spiritualities, abilities, and world-views are welcomed and honoured.
Cassandra sees clients in person and online.
