My path into social work is rooted in a longstanding commitment to fostering emotional growth, resilience, and meaningful connection. I am currently completing my Master of Social Work at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University; I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Guelph.
Since 2019, I have supported individuals across diverse communities, including veterans living with PTSD, children and youth navigating developmental transitions, university students facing mental health challenges, individuals with behavioural and learning differences, and patients in hospital settings. These experiences have reinforced the importance of attuned presence, empathy, and collaborative therapeutic work.
In my practice, I support individuals experiencing anxiety, mood challenges, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions, helping them develop sustainable coping strategies and emotional regulation skills. I also work with couples to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, address conflict, and deepen intimacy. Within families, I aim to cultivate healthier dynamics, clearer boundaries, and greater mutual understanding.
My approach to therapy is solution-focused, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that healing occurs through a safe, respectful, and supportive therapeutic environment. My goal is to provide a space where clients feel understood, validated, and empowered to create meaningful change.
Talia sees clients virtually and in-person through the Same-Day Single-Session Program and our Affordable Therapy Program.
