Mira Dodig, Registered Social Worker

Hi my name is Mira and my pronouns are she/her.
I’m a registered social worker with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) from Western University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto.
I have worked extensively in the community health and global health/humanitarian sector providing psychotherapy and creative group programming with diverse adults and youth grappling with a wide range of mental health issues, systemic barriers, challenging life transitions or interpersonal struggles.
I am specialized in supporting survivors of trauma, complex trauma and grief, and I have over 20 years of experience working with survivors of trauma and violence, including childhood abuse, intimate partner violence, sexual violence, mass violence, torture and war.
I have also developed a special interest in helping those on the front lines- health care workers, mental health workers, emergency workers, aid workers- experiencing trauma, vicarious trauma, burnout and compassion fatigue.
My therapy approach is based on safety, compassion, and connection. I integrate helpful evidence-based practices that incorporates safe exploration, promotes stabilization for mind and body, enhances each person’s unique strengths and abilities and encourages healing.
Mira is providing sessions in-person at 500 King Street West in Toronto. She is also seeing clients virtually.
