What You Can Expect
Sex Positivity
This is a sex positive workshop meaning that there will be no pathologizing, diagnosing, or shaming. Our discussions will equip you with the knowledge and tools to develop a better relationship with sex and pleasure so that you can reclaim your sexuality and begin having fun, healthy and fulfilling sex!
F.U.N!
This isn’t the sex-ed you received at school. While we are restricting this workshops to women who have experienced sexual trauma, sexual trauma is not the focus of this workshop. We will not be processing or sharing sexual traumas. Instead, the focus is on empowering you to connect with your sexuality. We expect smiles, laughter, and the courage to ask questions you never thought you would.
Connection with other women on their healing journey
This workshop is restricted to women who have experienced sexual trauma. That includes sexual assault, rape, sexual exploitation, childhood sexual abuse, and sexually focused intimate partner violence, regardless of whether or not you think you did something to “cause” it.
We’ve done this so that you can explore sex positivity while surrounded by other women on their healing journey. Ultimately, it’s about giving you a safe space to explore sex positivity knowing that your experiences are understood and accepted.
Information and examples and take home practice activities
We will be sharing tons of information to help you unlearn what you’ve learned about sex and re-conceptualize pleasure.
You will also receive take home activities to help you explore and reconnect with your pleasure.
Triggering Content
While we’re focusing on sex positivity and empowerment, these conversations can be triggering if you’ve experienced sexual trauma. If this does happen, there will be a registered psychotherapist present to support you.
If you are concerned about being triggered or about whether you are ready for this workshop, just reach out to us and we can help you determine if this is the best fit for you right now.
