$200 individual, $250 couples/family
Hello, I’m Camila. My pronouns are she/her.
I am a relational therapist with extensive clinical experience working with individuals, couples and families. I place strong value on the therapeutic alliance and view it as a central mechanism of change. I understand humans are shaped by both internal systems and external relational dynamics, each continually attempting to achieve balance, coherence and synchrony.
Camila is accepting clients for appointments virtually and in-person at our downtown location.
Camila offers therapy in English and Spanish.
I have experience working with men struggling with out-of-control sexual behaviours, effects of childhood and adulthood trauma, and sexual performance concerns. My work in this area focuses on understanding the psychological, relational and emotional drivers underlying behaviour, rather than reducing concerns to symptoms alone. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy and psychodynamic frameworks, as well as trauma-focused modalities such as EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Treatment is non-pathologizing, collaborative, intentional and paced to support both insight and nervous system regulation.
I hold a post-graduate specialization in Couples and Family Therapy and have expertise supporting couples experiencing high-conflict communication patterns, betrayal trauma, opposing perspectives and differences in sexual desire. I also provide discernment counselling for couples facing uncertainty about the future of their relationship and offer couples intensives for those navigating acute rupture or crisis. My clinical approach integrates specialized structural couples therapy, emotion-focused therapy, the Gottman Method and mediation-narrative therapy, allowing interventions to be tailored to the couple’s attachment dynamics, values and relational goals. Sessions are deeply attuned to the emotional and relational patterns that shape our closest connections.
With a specialization in family therapy, I have expertise in working with families experiencing high-conflict dynamics, family reunification and estrangement, blended family transitions and the impact of trauma on family systems. My work with families focuses on improving communication, restoring relational roles, strengthening boundaries and supporting emotional processing across generations. Therapy is guided by systemic and relational frameworks that honour each family member’s experience while working toward greater cohesion and stability within the family unit.
I am passionate about supporting intern therapists strengthen their assessment and intervention skills, as well as develop their therapeutic presence and voice. I am also elated to support therapists looking to learn more about relational approaches and sex therapy.
Clients often describe me as genuine, warm, highly prepared, intentional and collaborative. I describe myself as caring, deeply attuned to the dynamics within the therapy room and genuinely grateful to be entrusted with the work I do.
Outside the therapy room, I find joy in supervising therapist interns—supporting their growth and development is a meaningful part of my practice. In my personal life, I love cooking new recipes, enjoying the vibrant energy of stand-up comedy and live theatre, getting lost in movies with captivating plots, and reading heartfelt poems from emerging poets. You might also find me powering through a spin class, fueled by a good playlist and dance moves. These passions keep me grounded and energized, enriching the care and presence I bring to my work.
