Hello, my name is Kate; I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I have completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Crime from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom and a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I also hold a Grad. Diploma in Play Therapy from Concordia University.
I am multilingual and comfortable conducting therapy sessions in English, Polish and Spanish. My passion has always been to help and assist people in their struggles, and in my spare time, I volunteer in one of the palliative care centers. I offer counselling and psychotherapy services to youth and adults, and in my sessions, I strive to create an environment of safety, empathy, and openness to facilitate the therapeutic process. My goal is to ensure that each client is supported and encouraged through their journey by implementing a collaborative approach to counselling; together with integrative techniques, I draw on different psychological theories, personal skills, and values to tailor therapy to clients’ unique needs, to help them discover their inner strength, resilience and move towards healing.
I have experience working as a substitute teacher, which often informs my practice as a psychotherapist. I hope to assist my younger clients in learning skills that will help them remain resilient in an ever-changing society with high demands.
