    Anjali Ruparelia, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hello! I’m Anjali, a registered psychotherapist qualifying with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario. I have an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and I am currently completing my master’s thesis at Western University in Counselling Psychology.

Before working with justice involved high-risk youth, I started my career working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with complex mental health challenges.

My main areas of practice consist of:

    • Borderline Personality Disorder (“BPD”)
    • Childhood Trauma
    • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (“PTSD”) and Complex Trauma
    • Suicide Ideation and Self-Injury
    • Depression and Anxiety
    • Emotional Dysregulation
    • Relationship Difficulties

I take a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and holistic approach with clients which considers the systemic and developmental causes of psychological challenges. I prioritize the lived experiences of my clients while also valuing the innate resilience that they bring to the therapeutic space. I believe that taking an eclectic approach to therapy is important as each client seeks therapy for various reasons and requires individualized support. I have experience providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (“CBT”), Emotional Focused Therapy (“EFT”), Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (“DBT”) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (“ACT”).
